...Grę Bokuna cechuje zarówno mistrzowskie opanowanie techniki instrumentalnej (solo de concours Rabauda), jak i stroniące od klezmerskiego efekciarstwa artystyczne skupienie i umiejętność budowania formy muzycznej (Sonata Bernsteina). Równie dobrze wczuwa się w idiom pieśni ludowej ( Dwa kaprysy Bairda, a zwłaszcza znakomite Peregi Verbunk Weinera), jak i prezentuje spore możliwości w zakresie kolorystyki instrumentalnej i niekonwencjonalnych sposobów wydobywania dźwięku (Pejzaże Kurdybachy, From the Shadow to the Light Vajdy). Barwa jego dźwięku jest wyrównana w poszczególnych rejestrach, a wyraziste frazowanie i nienaganna artykulacja sprawiają, że łatwiej rozumiemy zdanie, iż "muzyka jest mową dźwięków".

...Wrażliwość i klasa muzyka prowadzą nas nieomylnie przez świat starannie wybranych kompozycji. Rzadko zdarza się, by płyta poświęcona w całości tak rzadkim utworom (niektóre mają tu swoją płytową premierę) oferowała tyle pogłębiających się przy kolejnych odsłuchach wrażeń.

...The performances of the famous Bernstein Sonata and the Arnold Sonatina are excellent. Ensemble is solid and the phrasing sparkles with irony and wit. In the second movement of the Bernstein, Bokun adds a few glissandi of his own and skillfully executes both the jazzy rhytms and the controlled slow sections in the altissimo register. Likewise, the Arnold is played with energy and humor, the last movement dashed off in a flash. All in all this is an excellent recording, with fine quality sound and execution. The world premieres are especially striking and should be valued additions to the repertoire.
